How to price a facial laser course
- Use the clinic's own name for the area. Facial areas overlap and menus disagree about where one ends. Quote the area as the menu names it.
- Ask for the session figure and the session count. The two multiplied is the course price, which is the only figure worth comparing between clinics.
- Ask whether facial areas bundle. Several small facial areas often price better as a partial or full face line than added up individually.
- Ask what maintenance costs. Facial hair is the area people top up longest, so the post-course single session price matters more here than anywhere.
The published figures, area by area
Skinography in Los Angeles prices facial areas individually and the figures are the most granular in this record: upper lip $15 for women and $15 for men, chin $15 and $15, between eyebrows $15 and $15, sideburns $20 and $20, front of neck $20 and $20, back of neck $20 and $20, hair line $20 and $20, cheeks $25 and $25, partial face $25 and $30, and full face $30 and $35, all per session.
Bluepoint in Las Vegas prices the same territory as one band: X-Small Areas (Lip, Chin, Neck) at $100 per treatment. Chicago Aesthetic Surgery publishes a $150 per session starting figure across its whole service. So the same upper lip is published at $15 in one clinic and inside a $100 band in another, and the treatment is the same.
When to buy the face rather than the areas
At Skinography's published figures, an upper lip, a chin and sideburns bought separately are $50 a session, while its full face line is $30 for women. Three small areas cost more than the whole face. That inversion is common on granular menus and it is the single most useful thing to check before booking a facial course.
Ask the clinic to price both ways. A clinic that prices individual areas will usually tell you plainly that the face line is better value, and one that will not is worth a second quote from somewhere else.
Beard and neck lines for men
Beard shaping and neck work is priced on the same lines and at some clinics costs the same for men and women. At Skinography, sideburns, front of neck and back of neck are all $20 in both columns, and full face is $30 for women and $35 for men. A beard laser course, understood as repeated sessions on the beard line and neck, is therefore in the region of $40 to $55 a session at that clinic, and six to eight of them.
